The Type20 Flymaster

From Auricoste -
Courtesy of Auricoste

For my fellow watch lovers in the lower 48 - and possibly even further afield...

Allow me to either introduce, or reacquaint you with Auricoste!  Okay, you ask - just who or what is Auricoste? Auricoste started out way back in 1854. Over time, Auricoste developed into one of the most notable providers of purpose built time keeping instruments - including watches ; )

This is the Type20 Flymaster. And yes, there have been plenty of Type 20s released, but this one rings true to me.

This chronograph is available direct from the brand. For those of you wanting to see on in person? You will need to grab your passport and hop on over to France. But considering that you can avail yourself of all of the wonderful things in  France during your shopping trip? Count me in!

The Nautic 666 Automatic 39 mm

From Lip -

Courtesy of Lip

This is the last of Lip's 3 new musketeers representing the new R26D. The Nautic 666 is a classic dive watch, with a rich history. But as with everything that Lip is doing today, while it is paying homage, it is not living in the past.

The case is stainless steel, measuring 39 mm in diameter. The case itself is water resistant to 200 meters.

And under the hood, of course, is the R26D!

Moonphase Monday - The Royale Saphir

From Pequignet -

Courtesy of Pequignet
This one is very limited (10 pieces only) and  definitely belongs in the "Go Big, or Go Home" category.  Pequignet makes a lot of beautiful, classic watches with more traditional moon phase functions. But this one embraces a more modern design aesthetic without losing its "Pequignet sais quoi".
The case is of Rose Gold 5N, and the movement is Pequignet's Calibre Royal EPM01 which boasts a very impressive 88 hours of power reserve. Hours, minutes, seconds (via sub-dial at 4 o'clock), day, date and a seductively designed moon phase indicator at 6 o'clock.

This fascinating time machine can be purchased from the team at Grenon's in Rhode Island who (and yes, I am biased) are the perfect representatives for Pequignet here in the US. For those of you outside of the lower 48, you can contact your local/regional retail partner or contact Pequignet directly.
