A Festivus for the Rest of Us!

Once upon a time, a B-List watch writer / brand consultant looked around the BaselWorld floors and said to himself - 

"There has to be a better way."

Spoiler alert - that B-List watch writer was yours truly, James Henderson. And from that, the most successful off-site "side show" to BaselWorld was born - The HYPE! 

12 brands occupying a space on the ground floor of the Hyperion Hotel. It was so successful that the BaselWorld organization asked me to organize their "Incubator" space for new brands for BaselWorld '20. And then...COVID! BaselWorld died a slow and agonizing death, and Watch Town shifted first to Geneva, and lately more and more, New York City.

And that is where that same feeling came again - two shows that were great if you were a large brand, or if you were not too concerned with being able to connect with your customers, journalists, potential retailers and fans in a smaller, more intimate setting. 

So after 6-year hiatus, I am excited to share that The HYPE is returning, this time to New York City! Once again, we will be "hiding in plain sight" within footsteps of the two larger shows.
