Holthenrichs Deconstructed in Meterorite and Aventurine

These are the latest two offerings from Michiel Holthinrichs's eponymous brand - Holthinrichs Watches

Based on his new Deconstructed concept, he has taken it a few steps further with these two striking new models. One with a meteorite dial (above), and the other in a lovely blue aventurine (below).

These are not your ordinary mass produced watches, but rather special, beguiling time machines that must be commissioned with the watch maker himself.

Here are the basics, straight from the source in Delft -

Specifications AVENTURINE & METEORITE Case: 3D printed titanium grade 5 with brushed finish. Semi-integrated DECON crown with embossed and brushed ‘H’. AR-coated domed sapphire crystal in front and flat sapphire crystal in the case back. Case diameter: 38.5mm. Case thickness: 9.8mm including domed crystal. Lug to lug: 47mm. Dial: AVENTURINE deep blue with applied hand-finished baton numerals.  METEORITE with openworked subseconds counter and applied hand-finished baton numerals. Hands: Stainless steel laser-cut DECON shape brushed top surface and large handmade anglage. Movement: In-house HW-M01 and 50% Dutch made DECON manual movement, based on an improved Peseux 7001 architecture. This is the M-1 Launch Edition, the first of 3 different collections in the works for Mustonen, a new brand based in Helsinki.

The case is of stainless steel and measures 39mm x 51 mm.

Now you might be asking yourself, what is that object in the side of the watch case? It is, apparently, a small piece of meteorite from our next-door neighbor, Mars.

This watch can be had with an onyx or aventurine dial.

You also have the option of having the official NASA logo on the dial.

The Movement is STP's Calibre 1-11.

This is currently a pre-order item and is anticipated to deliver in January of next year (2022).

Two Exciting New Models from Sartory Billard

Now before we dive into these two new models, I have to make sure that it is clearly disclosed that I do have a business relationship with Sartory Billard in terms of marketing, sales and communication in North America.  Having said that, I do feel that these two new models are intriguing, interesting and offer something special at a great price.  BUT - once again - I do work with Sartory Billard, so I want to make sure that readers are aware of this relationship.

Now part of what is both great and frustrating about working behind the scenes with some brands in a consulting role is that you often have a jump on your colleagues in the Fourth and Fifth Estates to be able to break news.  I believe that there is such a thing as ethics, and owing to this I have waited to give other outlets first crack at the bat to share these two new models from Sartory Billard.  But as I am also a fan, as well as a consultant, I wanted to share some of my own opinions about the new SB04 models from Sartory Billard.

This is the SB04 Blue Polished Titanium

Automatic Swiss movement, 26 jewels, 4Hz.
40 mm (without crown) 316L stainless steel case
11 mm thick
Sapphire crystal
The dial is made of polished titanium.

And this is the SB04 Meteorite.

The specs are essentially the same, but in this instance the dial is of meteorite.

My understanding is that with both of these models, the hands are made by hand by Sartory Billard.
