The BR 01 Cyber Skull

This little nugget dropped this AM from the nice folks in Paris / CT.

This version of the Skull marks the latest iteration of the Skull's talisman connection to Bell & Ross and the BR 01, which first came out in 2009 with the BR 01 Skull. This bronze version is limited to 500 pieces.

BR-CAL.210. Manufacture. Hand-wound mechanical.


Functions:
hours and minutes. Moving skull jawbone when wound by hand.


Case:
45 mm x 46.7 mm. 13.70 mm thick. Satin-finished and polished CuSn8 bronze. Sapphire and CuAI7Si2 bronze case- back.


Dial:
skeletonised. Rose gold-plated brass skull (or bronze- coloured skull). Gilt metal skeletonised Super-LumiNova®- filled hour and minute hands. Balance at 12 o’clock.


Crystal:
sapphire with anti-reflective coating


Water Resistance:
50 metres.


Strap:
Black Rubber


Buckle:
pin. Satin-finished and polished CuAI7Si2 bronze.

This is one of the three new pieces offered by Bell & Ross in the latest iteration of their Instrument collection. And as there are three, they are all pretty swell, we'll be sharing them one at a time.

The BR 01 Turns 10!

It is hard to believe, but the Bell & Ross BR 01 is celebrating its 10th birthday.

This is the BR 01 10th Anniversary.

The BR 01 took its inspiration from cockpit instruments creating a timekeeper with undeniable roots in aviation.

This is a large watch, with easy to read indices and hands - and that was the point 10 years ago, just as it is the point today.

But this is not merely a re-do of the first BR 01, because times as well as materials have changed.  This anniversary model was conceived of Matte black ceramic with a stainless steel case back.  Measuring 46 mm in diameter, the dial is clean and precise.  Hours, minutes and seconds. 

The movement is the BR-CAL.302.  This is a self-winding mechanical movement.

The dial and the back of the case bear the birthday wishes.

Water resistant to 100 meters, the BR 01 10th Anniversary is secured by a black rubber strap with folding black pvd buckle.
