First Hublot, and then...

Word reached the North Shore earlier this morning that Rolex has closed three factories in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The official word from Dufour is that the facilities will stay shut for 10 days, hopefully re-opening on the 27th - obviously subject to change.

The word around the campfire is that it could be longer.

This of course means that the speculators will now ramp up their speculation.  Your gently used Rolex is about to dramatically increase in value and desirability.

Despite all of the intrigue and fascination about what may, or may not happen in terms of brands, their offerings, etc., please remember that we are in the arms of a pandemic, and it does not care who made your watch.  Stay home, stay safe, please take it seriously.
