I realize that I have already written about this one, but some things keep calling to you, and the Alpina Startimer Pilot Heritage is one of those things.

It seems just about everyone has a "pilot" watch, and in fairness they tend to be worthy of the title. But this one from Alpina is based on a re-discovered watch from the past, faithfully reproduced. I got to check one of these out first-hand at the Las Vegas shows, and the Startimer Pilot Heritage is THE BUSINESS! A beautiful hand-wound timekeeper that really measures up to the original.
