Tissot Satellite

This is the Tissot Satellite.  I realize that pocket-watches are not everyone's choice, and generally when most folks think of pocket-watches they think of vintage pieces.  At first blush you might think that this is  a completely modern reinterpretation of the standard pocket watch.  But further research will inform you that in fact, this dial design is a reinterpretation of a 17th Century technique.

The watch is a hand-wound concoction utilizing what Tissot refers to as "wandering hours" , with the hours and minutes display via a "satellite" system.

Tissot Satellite
This is a fascinating time-keeper and a great revival of a classic design.
