So yesterday was a day for a "professional" opinion, so I went down to visit my friend Ali Athari to get some further feedback.

"The movement...this is really great! Look at this rotor. Yes, it is great to look at visually, but look at the smoothness of it, the way the rotor moves..." (Insert a smile here)
"Also, I have to say that they did a very good job with the movement itself. I've seen a lot of 7750s - inside and out, and this one they really took their time with. The designers and technicians are clearly dedicated watch makers - it shows."

The rotor |
As you can see (despite my poor photo) the rotor's design is reminiscent of a steering wheel. As Ali said, it is a beautifully clean design. It truly suits this watch. Think about this for a moment, Porsche could have simply slapped on a rotor with the words "Porsche Design" stamped on it. If we are honest with ourselves, it's always the extra little touches that attract and captivate us, and this rotor design is no exception.
In looking at the rotor, I am at once transported back to the 1970s, and Speed Racer!
In terms of the 15 day test, the timing is still steady, no deviations, and the watch though large continues to impress me with how comfortable it is. I am going to be engaging the chronograph in more significant tests this weekend - stay tuned!
