Day 2 with the Porsche P'6930

So waking up this morning and looking at the dial of the Porsche P'6930 I see that it is Thursday, September 23rd.  There is really something to be said for such a legible dial.

As I said yesterday, the face of the watch (i.e. the dial, sub-dials and hands) truly creates a three dimensional look to the watch.  The base of the main dial has a textured look - not entirely dissimilar to a honeycomb.  The numbers and indices are rhodium-plated and alternate between numbers and indices - I have to say that I really like this layout.  It achieves two goals - it allows for larger "markers" and owing to the alternation between numbers and indices it prevents a cluttered or busy appearance.

So far the timing has been bang-on, even after extensive use of the chronograph it has remained constant without any need for "re-adjustment" yet.  And the strap has become more and more comfortable as the days have passed.

A friend gave me some feedback yesterday - I handed her the watch and she had these five things to say:

1.  The hands really stand out
2.  It looks like a car's "dashboard" - in a good way
3.  It is definitely masculine
4.  It is very legible
5.  It has presence

More this evening - stay tuned!
