Something New - Edouard Koehn and the Squadron Chronograph

I was pleased to receive the press announcement for a new collection from a brand that is new to me (and possibly you, gentle reader), La Chaux-de-Fonds based Edouard Koehn.

This is the Squadron Chronograph. And of the four current available models, this would be my pick. This is the EK-CHR01R -

Here are the pertinents -

316L stainless steel case, 43 mm diameter, 15 mm height, double-sided antireflective sapphire crystal, sapphire crystal case-back, water-resistant to 100 meters / 330 feet. 

 

Edouard Koehn Tempus I Tri-Compax self-winding mechanical movement entirely manufactured in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. 27 rubies, 28’800 Vibrations per Hour (4 Hz) with oscillating weight mounted on ceramic ball-bearings. 48 hours power reserve.         

 

“Clou de Paris” blue dial with anthracite chronograph counters, luminescent hour markers.

 

Luminescent skeleton hands.

 

Black colour high grade natural rubber strap with stainless steel tang buckle.

 

Functions: Hour, Minutes, Seconds, 60 seconds central Chronograph hands, 30 minutes and 12 hours Chronograph counters.
