This press release limped into my in-box here on the North Shore at 4:10 in the AM - a little over 3 hours ago. STRICTLY UNDER EMBARGO until 2:00 PM (14:00) Geneva time.
Now, my suspicion is that this same press release, along with some cordial pleasantries has probably been with the big swinging dicks for at least one, if not a few days. So I am not exactly scrambling to rush to put this together.
So if you want platitudes and "oohs and ahhh"? Check out the big dogs. Since it is clear the idea is that they are the big "news breakers", I defer to their position.
From my perspective, here are just the facts (because between the hours of 4:00 - 8:00 AM, I honestly have better things to do than come up with bon mots about Urwerk).
Now despite the two-tier strategy for press communication, there is at least one positive element, and if I am honest? This is where my true frustration lies. I like charitable actions, I like to write about them, and I would have enjoyed having the time and luxury to actually do some Q & A with Urwerk on this topic -
