Hand to God, I am not, by definition, a pilot's watch kind of dude. The one that we have in the house has found itself welded to Wendy's wrist since it arrived.
More on that in a later update. But that got me thinking about pilot's watches. It is a universally held belief that they are, by definition, black.
But what if we thought outside of the "watch box"?
Well, at Stowa they do -
Stowa offer a few different dial hues for their flingers, but the two most beguiling to me are the white (above) and their now classic Ikarus -
Both are of stainless steel and measure 40 mm in diameter. ETA 2824, optional hand-winding versions and blued hands.
In a world of black dials (and not that there's anything wrong with that), it's pretty cool to see something different out there.
