The Mighty Sinn

So a confession.   I have tried for YEARS to get a BaselWorld appointment with Sinn.  And this year, thanks to Bhanu of Watchuseek, I finally got to go beyond the "pvd rope"!

And yes, there were some pretty swell watches -

An updated version of the U1 - 44 mm of German "submarine steel" is crafted to house the self winding movement.

For those of you spec obsessed, here are the pertinents on the U1's case, straight from SINN:

• Black Hard Coating on a TEGIMENT Technology basis
• Sapphire crystal glass in front, anti-reflective on both sides
• Case back screw-fastened

• Meet the technical requirements for waterproofness, as set out in standard DIN 8310
• Pressure-resistant up to 1,000 m diving depth (= 100 bar), certified by DNV GL

 This watch spoke to me.  And what it literally said, albeit in German, was that it wanted to move to Boston!

This is limited to 300 pieces, and I suspect will be sold out quickly as it was one of the most talked about watches for many of us.
