BaselWorld... Already?

Yes Pals and Gals,
I woke up this morning and it dawned on me that BaselWorld is, in fact, less than 2 months away!

Now I know that means watches, but for those of us who cover the event it means we have to take steps to make sure we are well-turned out and comfortable.  For the "brand folks" that is a bit easier.  For those of us covering this three-ring circus of watches it means being on your feet all day from around 7:00 AM until 9:00 PM.  Your "dogs" are going to be pooped!

You will need some decent shoes, and the folks at SHOEPASSION have you covered!

Based in Berlin and working with traditional shoe makers in Spain, SHOEPASSION offers a fantastic range of options, but the pair that caught my eye were these.  This is a double monk strap in dark brown nubuck.

The detail work on these shoes is quite impressive, note the heels and the stitching on the sole.  Neat, clean and precise work, not sloppy like you so often find unless you spend $1,000.  A well made, smart looking shoe at a fair price.

So while some of my more "well-heeled" colleagues will be toiling away at SIHH, I will be putting together my "go bag" to get ready for the other "March Madness" that is BaselWorld - a pair of SHOEPASSION double monk straps might just have to be made room for.
