This is something new from ARCHIMEDE and is definitely a welcome addition to their current offerings.  Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, may I present the 1950's.

Available with either a black or white dial, the 1950's reinforces the notion that less is more. A minimalist design accentuates the simple beauty of these three-handed time machines.

The case measures 39 mm in diameter with a display back.  The top crystal is a domed "plexy" concoction, staying true to the era of its namesake.  The hands (blue for the silver dial, silver for the black dial) are literally curved as well to accommodate the overall design.  This is done "in house".  The dial is convex as well to ensure a harmonious look and feel.

The movement is something that I think bears special note - it is listed as the Citizen (Miyota) 9015.  24 jewels, self-winding with hours, minutes, seconds and date.  I am currently testing a watch with a self-winding movement and all I can say is that I strongly suspect ETA might have some real competition on their hands here.  More on that for another post, but suffice it to say, I can see why more an more brands (not just the little micro/independents) are moving to this option.
