It's easy to overdose on watches at BaselWorld. So after worshipping from afar, I finally got to check out some Ilmia shoes "in the flesh". The brand owner, Christian Gafner was kind enough to visit me at the Naldi's area for Edelberg and he brought some Ilmia shoes.
The white and some "off white shoes.
And the pair below is a particularly wonderful leather - very soft and rich. Yes, we are talking about sneakers, but what a wonderful pair of sneakers these are!
These are sneakers hand-made in Germany - just like the Adidas of the 60s and 70s!
And although the white and off white are quite nice, I opted for a pair of black, and they are like walking in a leather lined slipper - I mean this sincerely, and in the best possible way!
