Azimuth Deep Diver

The “crème de la crème” of the Xtreme-1 range is the Deep Diver which comes in a seldom seen and attempted; square titanium case. What is ground breaking in this design is the fact that a square case is traditionally extremely difficult to waterproof. However, Azimuth managed to tackle this problem by ingeniously creating a separate capsule to house the ETA 2826 Big Date movement which is then inserted into the square case housing and held securely by 6 screws.

The Deep Diver is also equipped with a Helium Escape Valve (HEV) which allows the wearer to dive to a depth of 1500m and 2000m respectively without the dangers of the crystal popping off due to atmospheric pressures building up inside the watch case. In order to be able to withstand pressures at this depth, Azimuth created the crystal in this watch to be double domed to give it added strength.
