When your family business is as steeped in the watch case making industry as Rafael Ickler's, it is safe to assume that your watches will have a pretty good case. After all, one of the Ickler family's main business areas is the manufacturing of watch cases for other watch companies.
I was (as usual) hanging out with my friend Ali as he worked on the continuing restoration of my soon to be complete Rolex Bubble Back. I showed him the DEFAKTO and it immediately brought to both of our minds the one handed Meister Singer, the Alain Silberstein single hand, and finally several one-handed watches from the past. But what really caught Ali's eye was the quality of the case.
He remarked not just on the finish of the case, but the size to weight ratio. He pointed out the well balanced proportions in this regard. Having worn the DEFAKTO for over a week now, I must say that I agree with him!
