It sucks to be an independent watch brand.
There's no point in beating around the bush. When you own it, it's your time, your money, your vision. It's even more than your blood, sweat and tears. All of those you can replace.

It's actually an extension of you - at least if you're doing it right. And the guys at Gorilla have been, are doing, and if I am any sort of a judge of these things... will continue to not only do things right, but do them far better than most. I have spent time, drunk wine and talked shit with the folks at Gorilla, and it has always been time well spent.

It has been an interesting (nearly) two years. More than 18 months in which character and the true, sometimes more base nature of some have been laid bare. Several prominent denizens of Watch Town have been revealed to be what they have always been, and that is...lacking.

To perhaps better sum up, I am going to hand my closing off to that other great commentator on the watch business, Henry David Thoreau -

"The mass of men lead lives of quiet 

desperation."

Well, that's as may be, but not for the folks at Gorilla.
