The AIRSPEED Part 3

As promised, here is where we get down to the more salient details and try get beyond emotions.

And what that generally comes down to is - how did the watch perform?  Truth be told, a watch can look like a million bucks, but if it does not perform well, it becomes a mechanical bracelet rather than a time keeper.  So the good news is that the besides looking really cool, wearing really comfortably, and making me feel all warm and fuzzy inside - this watch IS THE SHIT THAT KILLED ELVIS!

And by this watch, I really mean these watches -

With a prototype, you are never 100% sure how the watch will perform, but these two little bijouxs performed flawlessly. The winding action was incredibly smooth, the setting precise, and the time keeping spot-on. 

Under the hood, the Miyota 8219 sets the pace.  This was a fantastic choice and if provides a high performance/high quality ratio that is very, very reassuring to anyone considering this watch for themselves.

The straps and buckles were - at least for me - the perfect balance for these watches.  And the little details like the black and red stitching provide a wonderful visual aspect.  The straps are phenomenally comfortable, yet plenty strong.

So for the very accessible price of $329 for the lowest Kickstarter pledge amount, you could not only have a fantastic watch, but experience what I have on more than one occasion these past few weeks while checking out at Trader Joe's or walking down the street -

"What a cool watch!  Were did you get it?"
