Not Quite White from NIVREL

Sometimes it is the most basic item that is the most appealing. Well, basic in terms of functions and perhaps basic in terms of intent.  This is the Replique Manuelle.
This is a beautiful hand wound timekeeper from NIVREL.
This was shot in the booth at BaselWorld so as you can see the image suffers from the usual "Henki master touch" as pertains to watch photography ; )

There are white and silver dial watches, but this one is not quite white, certainly not silver.  The NIVREL catalog describes it like this:

Vintage white-colured dial with Arabic numerals and appliques. Index markers covered with luminescent superluminova.

In fact, one of NIVREL's team shared with me that it was a real challenge to describe to the folks responsible for achieving the desired color of the dial.  You could describe what it shouldn't be, but it wasn't necessarily so easy to describe what it should be ; )

But it seems that they managed to achieve the desired result!
