This Winter Harrods Fine Watch Room
exclusively launches the Backes & Strauss
Renaissance and Victoria collections. Both of
these exceptional collections and unique
timepieces are displayed in three special
showcases at the entrance of the Fine Watch
Room.
The Renaissance collection is a special range of ultra slim timepieces, each a mere 6.1mm in depth. Renaissance takes its design cues from the Piccadilly and Regent collections with an array
of women’s and men’s styles, with and without diamonds, incorporating movements just 2.5mm thin. The decorated inner workings of all Renaissance at Backes & Strauss watches are visible through the transparent sapphire crystal case back.
Inspiration for the Victoria collection is drawn from the Backes & Strauss archives, a 19th century brooch with two linked hearts was the starting point for today’s Backes & Strauss Victoria diamond watches. Those linked hearts are now fully intertwined and they have become their own motif, repeated continually in a circle of everlasting love, like that of Queen Victoria for her husband Albert.
Proud of its British Heritage, Backes & Strauss recently partnered with Tamara Rojo, the Prima Ballerina and the Artistic Director of the English National Ballet, to be its brand ambassador for the Victoria Collection.
