I think anyone who has followed watches over the past 10 to 20 years (has it really been that long for me?!?) has a soft spot for Chronoswiss. I well remember 2000 or 2001, and laying eyes on this watch's grandfather. And yes, it was love.
So okay, it is not exactly the same - and that is really a good thing. Things must, and inevitably will change - so embrace it! The "new" Sirius Triple Date is a beautiful watch, and a wonderful continuation of the original vision of Mr. Lang.

And like every great memory, you have to remind yourself that it was a place in time where you are no longer. And as most of you know, Chronoswiss was one of founder Gerd-Rüdiger Lang's beloved children. And as often is the case, what one man builds will not necessarily continue on as originally planned. And it was one year ago that Mr. Lang sold his ownership in Chronoswiss to the Ebstein family, with Oliver Ebstein taking over as CEO. And it is a bit sad when you think of it. But ultimately for any brand to exist on a certain level, you will need potentially bigger pockets than the ones you have.
But now here we are. And in fairness, it is not exactly the same. But I don't know if that is really such a bad thing. Things must change, must evolve. And today's Chronoswiss still has Mr. Lang's DNA ticking away. Look closely, you can still see his hand involved.
