With perhaps one of the most impressive playing careers of his era, Glenn Strömberg represents the best of a generation of Swedish soccer players.
 In a time before Henrik Larsson and Fredrik Ljungberg brought Swedish Football to the world's attention, the "Marathon Man" was pulling the strings in the Swedish midfield.   

A member of the  IFK Göteborg side that ran out winners in the 1982 UEFA Cup, and later flying the flag for Swedish soccer in Portugal with Benfica, and in Italy with Atalanta, Glenn Strömberg was a true footballing ambassador for Sweden.
