Cindy Crawford joins OMEGA in Santiago

The brand celebrates the opening of its seventh boutique in Latin America and its first in Chile

OMEGA celebrated its retail expansion into Chile on Wednesday when media and guests joined supermodel and long-time brand ambassador Cindy Crawford at a press conference near the boutique in Parque Arauco. 

Following the press conference, OMEGA hosted an event at the Quinta Normal Park site of The Santiago Museum of Contemporary Art. Guests from all over Latin America enjoyed a unique contemporary dance piece before browsing the selection of brilliant OMEGA Constellation Luxury Edition timepieces on display.

Raynald Aeschlimann, OMEGA’s Vice President and International Director of Sales, Retail and Distribution and member of Swatch Group’s Extended Group Management Board, was present at the event and highlighted OMEGA’s growing retail network, saying, “We are committed to establishing stores at the best retail addresses around the world and we are pleased to add Santiago to that list. Our expansion in this dynamic region reflects the growing enthusiasm for luxury products in the Chilean market and shows that OMEGA’s sophisticated timepieces, innovative watchmaking and quality products resonate with Chileans.”

Ms Crawford joined guests at the dinner as well and addressed the audience in a speech about her work with the brand and her affinity for OMEGA’s timepieces and involvements. 

“When I started working with OMEGA in 1995, the company already had a great reputation as a watchmaker,” said Ms Crawford. “It was an honor to collaborate with the brand on the design process of some of the earlier Constellation models,” she continued. “Representing OMEGA continues to be an amazing adventure, and I love being a part of the OMEGA family.”

On OMEGA’s 18-year partnership with the world renowned ambassador, Mr Aeschlimann said, “Cindy has been promoting our products longer than any other of OMEGA’s ambassadors and she is a perfect representative for our brand. It has always been a pleasure working with her and her inspiration continues to be of great value to OMEGA.”

The OMEGA Constellation “Quarter Moon”

For the special occasion, Ms Crawford wore the OMEGA Constellation “Quarter Moon”, which marked the timepiece’s debut.

This OMEGA Constellation dazzles with a luxurious 18K red gold case and a breath-taking 18K red gold dial accented with pearled white mother-of-pearl and 126 glittering single-cut diamonds creatively arranged in the shape of delicate quarter moons. The bezel is paved with 32 full-cut diamonds. This extraordinary timepiece is presented on an 18K red gold bracelet. Chile’s first OMEGA Boutique

OMEGA welcomes visitors to its newest boutique located in the “luxury district” of the Parque Arauco in Santiago, one of Chile’s largest shopping centers. The OMEGA Boutique makes a bold statement with a 10-meter-high façade. The showcases and dazzling display windows incorporate themes of sun, water, earth and time – elements that are a part of the brand’s design concept and can be found in OMEGA’s flagship boutiques around the world.
