Looking Back - Project AWARE

As I believe I might have mentioned one or two thousand times, I spent three fantastic years working for DOXA Watches.

In addition to selling directly (i.e. over the phone), working with retail partners and handling service requests, I had the rare opportunity to write a lot of the advertising content, press releases and essentially work the "public relations desk".  In addition to that, I got to work on partnerships with organizations and identify brand ambassadors.

The Project AWARE was a great example of a naturally evolving partnership with DOXA.  I remember getting the agreement nailed down, dial design approved, and 1/92 made its way to Las Vegas just in time for its debut at the DEMA show of 2008.  It was one of those rare moments when every deadline was met perfectly.

Fast forward to the summer of 2009 and I was wandering through Tourneau in Boston.  The salesperson pointed at the watch on my wrist and nearly shouted - "that's the Project AWARE!  Look, see?"  Before I could say anything she had opened up a copy of WatchTime to the page with the watch and the press release I had worked so hard on nearly a year before.

And now almost 5 years since the first one hit, and this most recent version is very nearly sold out.
I wonder what's next?

Enjoy your watches!
