Every now and again there is an iconic watch that just somehow slips through the cracks
First and foremost, I have SHAMELESSLY borrowed this photo from an Ebay auction. I do hope that you can forgive me.
I was still pretty wet behind the ears when Cartier brought this baby out. It is without a doubt, one of their MOST unsung creations from them. This is the Tank Basculante.
A face that reverses, but unlike JLC's reverso, these rotated up to down as opposed to out and around.
We had a handful of these when I worked at Tourneau in San Francisco. I truly wish I had snagged one when I had the chance. Hand winding, reverse function - and (no offense Cartier) one of your more subtle (and tasteful) offerings.
BRING IT BACK!!!
