This is the "engine" of the Hanhart Primus Racer. This is NICE!
Too often you will see a display back without much to actually display. This is not the situation here! A well conceived, well balanced rotor. Cleanly marked/labeled. You will also notice the small red marker at the bottom of the rotor. So that now makes three places you will see this theme with the red accent. One more to go!
And in terms of timekeeping - still + 2 seconds.
I also conducted a few timing tests -
Pasta Puttanesca -
Step 1 - onion, garlic, sardine reduction - 5 minutes - matched by my trusty Hanhart stopwatch and well as the kitchen timer. Bang on.
Step 2 - add tomato and olive - 10 minutes. Perfect timing
Step 3 - capers - 3 minutes. On a side note, I realize that not everyone will vote to add the capers until serving, but I have found that if you limit the timing, it ensures a nice flavor and a slightly more balanced taste.
More "serious" time keeping tests for the chronograph feature this evening and tomorrow, stay tuned!
And dinner was pretty good as well.
A more serious timing test today and tomorrow - stay tuned.
