In honor of "Boxing Day" - the C8's packaging

Okay, to get the preliminaries out of the way -

Timekeeping is still holding steady, although the variance has now improved by one second and has held steady at 5 seconds for the past two days. This again means that the watch is "settling in" and I suspect would be close to perfect within a few more weeks.

But in honor of Boxing Day, I thought it would be a good time to talk about the packaging that the C8 came in.

The boxes, both inner and outer, are extremely well made and are more impressive that those used by watch companies charging five times as much for the watch itself.

In addition to that, it is the attention to personal details that is so impressive - the watch comes with a personal letter  -

Letter
A very professionally produced handbook/guide -

Owner's Handbook

And even a complimentary micro cloth!

I realize that a it is easy to say that these things are not expensive, and not necessary. But consider how nice a touch this is? I think it is very safe to say that you will very, very seldom receive such personalized attention from a watch company - be it a large one or even a "micro-brand".
