It was a very good weekend here in Santa Barbara - albeit a bit wet and gray! It seemed the perfect opportunity to get a sense of the one-handed - 15 minute segment of the DEFAKTO.
I will go on record here and now and say that if you are the type of person who furtively checks the world time website to ensure that your time pieces are within 1 or 2 seconds per day - this is not the watch for you. BUT - this is not down to accuracy - rather it is down to the way the dial is laid out, giving you 3 indications within a one hour sequence. And I have to say that I have come to revel in that feeling of having a less than 100% certainty - i.e. within a minute or so here or there. It made the weekend interesting, but also far less stressful. I knew the time - make no mistake about this. But rather than obsessing down to the thousandth of a second, I was thinking in terms of "about 2:15". I have to say, I really liked that!
Moreover, speaking of accuracy, I got up this morning to "synch" the time on the hour at 6:00 AM Pacific, and - on the money!
More this evening - and thank you DEFAKTO for a de-constructed weekend!
