Thrift Store Finds

We've all read the too good to be true stories about rare time machines found at yard sales or at the Sally Anne (Salvation Army) store. This one is not in that league, but it was a nice find this past Sunday afternoon -

A very slightly used Minerva stop watch! In the original box, and the retailer was M. Ducommun Co. of New York. Trippy, as I spent my "formative" years in watch town working for Synchron (DOXA) and that was founded by another "Mr. D".

I would love to take credit for spotting it, but it was Wendy's eagle eye that found it. No, not a rare LeCoultre dive watch, but yet and still, pretty nifty!
