Doing Good -

F.P. Journe!

Courtesy of F.P.Journe
So to make a few things abundantly clear -
1.  F.P. Journe watches are beautiful, highly desirable and unique in their identity which in an industry crowded with all too many brands is something special.
2.  As much as I wish it were otherwise, I am not likely to own one in my lifetime unless there is a radical reversal of fortunes in the revenue stream of Tempus Fugit ; )

But  having said that, I need to say pretty clearly that I continue to be impressed by the continuing dedication that F.P. Journe is showing to charitable giving.  For most brands, combined, you could count on one hand the number of charitable projects that they work on.  So for a brand of their size (yes, they are famous, they have a wonderful reputation, but they do not exactly make what could be referred to as a mass market item), it is truly impressive how often they are making an effort to do something for a good cause.

Here are the details of their latest charitable participation, straight from the source -

                        For Action Innocence

In 2015, the Tourbillon Souverain was adjudicated for 350’000.-CHF, i.e. 2.35 times its price

On May 10, 2017, the Chronomètre Optimum was adjudicated for
200’000.-CHF i.e. 2.35 times its price

F.P.Journe commited once again for Action Innocence in order to protect the dignity and security of children on the Internet in making a unique piece of his Chronomètre Optimum in Platinum with a specific dial at the colors of Action Innocence.

The charity gala evening took place at the Espace Hippomène in Geneva on May 10, 2017 in presence of numerous guests who have generously mobilized their forces for the protection of children on the internet.

Generosity paid during the auction animated by Hugh Edmeades, the Chronomètre Optimum was adjudicated for CHF 200’000.-, amount entirely donated at the profit of the foundation.
