There are a lot of moon phase watches out there, and they all tend to follow similar patterns.  But the Les Classiques Moonphase is something else again.  The reality about any moon phase watch is that it will never be exactly perfect in alignment (unless it is quartz, or you spend your inheritance on it), so because it is more of an emotional function, it should appeal on an emotional level.  And that is just what this model from Maurice Lacroix does.  It is truly beautiful.

At a time where everyone is working on the biggest, baddest, deepest going, highest flying watches made of crystal and unobtainium, it is nice to be reminded about what so many of us really enjoy about watches.  Something different, something creative while still staying somewhat in the mainstream of the real world.  This is to be commended.
