While I have no real proof that these were the words spoken by the PR/Marketing folks that came up with the "On Dobel Time" event, I do wonder what the rationale was.
I will give you the press release in its original form, but thought I would preface it with some of the bon mots shared with me from some of my colleagues in the fourth and fifth estates -
"Finally! The connection between making tequila and watches has been re-discovered!"
"The confluent synergies that marry tequila and watchmaking have been ignored for far too long!"
I will let the press release speak for itself. Feel free, as always, to draw your own conclusions, I for one have to sign off here as I've pissed myself on this one and need a fresh change of skivvies -

Following a speech by Benjamin Clymer explaining his discovery of the correlation between the art of time pieces and the Dobel tequila making process, guests including influencers Brandon Trentham, “The Metro Man” Monti Ankari, Ryan Clark of “High Fashion Men,” Erika Fox of “Retro Flame” and Sam White of “SamWhiteout,” enjoyed cocktails of Dual Time El Diablo, Moon Phase Margarita and Smoky Tourbillion Negroni.
