From Speake-Marin -
This was one of the pieces from Speake-Marin making its debut at this year's BaselWorld. And to be honest, I was more than a little curious as to just what the name Velsheda was based on. As it happens, it is named for a British "J Class" yacht constructed in the 1930s that is still being raced these many years later.
The case is the iconic Piccadilly style and is of stainless steel measuring 38 mm. The dial is white enamel and truly stunning. The scale is broken out in 15 minute segments 15 minutes, 30 minutes (as a marker), 45 minutes. Being a single handed watch, this is a great assistance in getting closer to the actual time. The hands are of steel and per Speake-Marin "heat treated blue".
The movement is Vaucher's 3002 which is self-winding with an advertised power reserve of 40 hours.
