This is the Zenith Elite 6150.  An ultra thin 42 mm stainless steel case holds the Elite 6150 self-winding (automatic) movement which offers up to 100 hours of power reserve!  The movement features twin barrels, and measures 13.4 mm in diameter.  Composed of 195 components (35 jewels) it beats at a frequency of 28,800 VpH or 4 hz.

But for me, this watch is so much more than the various "watch-geek" superlatives.  And perhaps this is down to my age, but it is WONDERFUL to see such constraint in the design of a new watch.  Hours, minutes, seconds.  And at least on the surface that is all there is.  And for me that is the most welcome part of this extraordinary watch.  There used to be a time when you were given ONE watch for a birthday, or communion, or other important milestone.  And this is something that we have clearly lost track of in this day and age of the pursuit and accumulation of MULTIPLE watches.  I think we have lost sight of those important occasions, and in some ways that has made the watches we love that little bit less special.  And that is what makes the new offering from Zenith such an important release.

This is THE SHIT THAT KILLED ELVIS!
