Allow me to introduce one of Mido's latest offerings - the Commander Caliber 80 Chronometer!
It is by now very well known that I have a soft spot for Mido, so it's always fun to report on something new from them. This new offering sports a new movement - what Mido is terming the Caliber 80 which Mido informs us will have a power reserve up to 80 hours. The movement has paid the statutory visit to the Contrôle
Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres to pick up its COSC "bona fidēs ".
The case is stainless steel, 40 mm in diameter, and warranted to be water-resistant to 50 meters or 165 feet - or to get all "nautical" on you - 5 bars. Hours, minutes, seconds, day and date.
