TNT Royal Retro 43

So owing to poor schedule keeping on my part, my coverage of Pierre DeRoche has actually been two years in the making, but it was worth it!

This is the TNT Royal Retro 43.
A 43 mm titanium case surrounds a truly remarkable movement.  And the Retro refers to the implementation of 6 different 10 second sections or "retrograde scales".  Essentially, the retrograde count starts with retrograde scale number one (just to the right of 12 o'clock), which then relays to the second retrograde scale (just to the right of 2 o'clock).  And it continues in this fashion relaying from "retro station" to "retro station" as the second counts move around the scale.

And more than anything else, having spent some time with the team at Pierre DeRoche, I can honestly say that they are not only passionate about what they do, they are genuinely nice people!

Mechanical automatic, exclusive Dubois Dépraz calibre, 58 jewels, decorated and engraved oscillating weight, central bridge, 6 chamfered and satin-finished seconds bridges, minute wheel with Pierre DeRoche logo, hands affixed by a transversal pin, 6 gear-driven retrograde seconds hands with strip-spring return.

Hours, minutes, retrograde seconds in 6 ten-second sections, moving retrograde hand indicator, date.

Case 

Titanium middle with black PVD treatment, 43 mm. 

Bezel, lugs, crown-guard and screw-lock crown in steel. 

Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. 

Sapphire back.
