Christopher Ward’s W11 Amelia

A new look for the W11 Amelia -

Here are the details -

Christopher Ward’s W11 Amelia watch – created in 2012 in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of Amelia Earhart’s last flight – takes flight with two new colour adaptations this autumn.
Named after the courageous American aviator of the 1930s, Amelia Earhart, the W11 aims to capture some of her trail-blazing sense of adventure some 75 years after her twin-engined Electra was last heard from flying off the Howland Isles in the Pacific during her ill-fated 1937 round-the-world flight.
The Amelia is now offered in two new colour interpretations – Almond and Pale Rose – reflecting the strong fashion trend for metallic tones in this autumn’s leading collections and providing exceptional versatility in complementing a range of wardrobe colours.  The case of the Amelia carries a more highly polished finish and the dial a galvanic sheen finish offered in the two stylish new tones – touches that add to the femininity of the design and deliver a more contemporary edge to the design. Further enhancing this direction is the self-coloured Italian calf leather strap. The new Amelia is still for the adventurous woman but with the accent on woman.
