Behold, the Calatrava

This Calatrava was actually announced back in April, but it is one of those watches that just haunts you!

It is often the most basic design that is the most elegant and memorable.  And as with all things Patek Philippe that appears to continue to be the case with this version of the Calatrava.

This is the Patek Philippe Calatrava Réf. 5227.  A 39 mm 18k pink, white or yellow gold.

The Movement is the Calibre 324 S C,  self-winding, 29 jewels, 28,800 vib/h, 38 to 48-hour power reserve; 21k gold unidirectional rotor.
Hours, minutes, seconds and date.  Because let's be honest, with one of these on your wrist, what else could you possibly want or need?
