During a special pre-sale period from May 27th to
August 31st, two models will be available online at www.gucci.com and 50 percent
of the retail price will be donated by Gucci to support projects focused on
girls and women through CHIME FOR CHANGE fundraising partner, Catapult.org, the first crowdfunding platform dedicated to
advancing the lives of girls and women.
Catapult is a technology platform that connects CHIME
FOR CHANGE community members directly to organizations and projects focused on
the causes that matter most to them, and currently represents over 80
organizations in 70 countries. GUCCI SYNC, which stands for Social Young
Network Community, has been chosen as the flagship watch for this initiative as
it reflects the strong commitment towards social networks and digital platforms
to engage and motivate people across the world.
The Sound of
Change Live global concert event at Twickenham Stadium in London on June 1st,
presented by CHIME FOR CHANGE, further reflects these values, using music as a
universal message to foster connection around the world.
The GUCCI SYNC model comes in two sizes, XXL (46mm) or
large (36mm), in both a black and white version. With its
sun-brushed dial, stainless steel and transparent nylon case and stadium-shaped
steel bezel, GUCCI SYNC resonates with the streamlined aesthetics of a digital,
millennial generation and the passion for live music. The Gucci logo is etched
around the stainless steel case at 9 o’clock and also appears on the dial,
along with the iconic interlocking ‘GG’ symbol. The timepiece features a
variation of the iconic Gucci web stripe integrated into the rubber strap and as
a color accent on the crown.
