The GOOD DESIGN Award came into being in 1950 when Charles and Ray Eames, Edgar Kaufmann, Jr., and one of my personal favorite designers - Eero Saarinen awarded the first GOOD DESIGN prize in Chicago.
The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in cooperation with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies in Dublin.
