I know that this is supposed to be about watches. But with the passing of Mr. Brubeck today I am again reminded what drew me to this industry first with Tourneau, later with DOXA and now with Tempus Fugit Media and Chronometers.org - people.
Dave Brubeck in many ways typified to me what a real artist is, and moreover a real human being is. In Ken Burns "Jazz", he reflected on his dismay of serving in World War 2, playing in an integrated group, and coming home to see some of his band members refused service owing to the color of their skin.
So this is for you Mr. Brubeck - thank you.
