It's hard not to be romantic about watches - #2

In fairness, having visited the actual place where these actual watches are actually made... I can say that I am besotted.  And coming in a tie for #2 are two different models from Girard-Perregaux -

Thisis the Vintage 1966 small seconds.  Simple, elegant, clean and perfect.  This is the watch you want with you during life's most memorable moments.  I am patient, I can save and wait, and it will be worth it.

When I first moved back to the US from Finland and started really following the watch news, and finally understanding that there was more than just Rolex, Omega and Vulcain, this is when I fell for the Vintage 1945.  I will say that I prefer the version with the sub-dial at 6 o'clock, but this is personal preference.  Some day...
