The feel of the Aquadive Bathyscaphe 300

I've now had a week to really get "a handle" on this watch.  I had intended to post more over the weekend, but a trip to the Bay area and forgetting the camera cable put paid to that plan.  It did, however, allow me some more time to get to know the Bathyscaphe 300.  I would like to share with you a quote, directly from a retail owner in San Francisco - "this beats the S*#& out of anything that I've seen from Tag and Oris" two brands that he used to carry.  He was referring to the case and the finish work.  The bezel also caught his eye.

But the other item that caught his eye was the ISOfrane strap that comes standard with every Aquadive.

A Panerai owner was in the shop and tried a pairing.  I suspect that he will be an ISOfrane owner in the very near future - and yes, the Aquadive also caught his eye!

But the fit and feel of the watch have been remarkable.  As a former Panerai owner, I was a little leery about strapping on such a large watch again - and the first two days took some getting used to, but it has really become a very comfortable, constant companion.

The time keeping has been BANG on and I even had it put on a timing meter and it is perfect - so far  - only 3 seconds fast over five days.

More soon -
