Here is something pretty cool from Vulcain -
As a kid growing up in VERY small town in Northern Ohio, I dreamed about seeing the world. One of my favorite books as a teenager was DOVE - the story of the teen-aged Robin Lee Graham's solo voyage around the world in the late 60's. If you haven't read the book - RUN, don't walk to the nearest place you can find it, and treat yourself. It is well worth the read.
Looking at this offering from Vulcain, I feel the same stirrings of adventure calling to me as they did before. From Ohio, to Oregon, to Japan, Portugal, Scotland, Finland, and finally after nearly 6 years, home again to the US. Looking at this Cricket, I have fond memories of the places I've been, and anxious expectations about the places I still have to go! And it also reminds me of friends around the globe.
In a time where watch companies are telling us how tough their watches are, or how "exclusive", it is indeed refreshing to see something that just makes you smile, lets your mind wander. The world truly is your oyster!
