The great thing about writing a watch blog is it really challenges you to go out and find different things.
This is the Idylle from Robert & Fils. A beautifully executed gold time piece with a restored "manufacutre" movement conceived and constructed in the 1960s by Robert & Cie. The Robert family has been working away in the watch industry since - you guessed it - 1630.
The rotor/oscillating weight is 22kt gold, and truly in keeping with this beautiful time keeper.
The current caretaker of the Robert watch making legacy is Giles Robert who brought Robert and Fils back to life in 2002.
